Pediatric dentistry is the specialty of dentistry that focuses on the oral health and unique needs of children from infancy through the teenage years. They are schooled in child psychology, growth, and development, giving them the knowledge to provide the most thorough treatment for a whole variety of children's dental needs.

Pediatric Dentistry is on of nine recognized dental specialties by the American Dental Association.  After completing a four-year dental school curriculum, two to three additional years of rigorous training is required to become a pediatric dentist. This specialized program of study and hands-on experience gives them the ability to work with all kidz, including patients with emotional, mental or physical special needs.
